A Severe Toothache or Bleeding

Toothache may be sharp, throbbing, or constant. In some cases, pain results only when we apply pressure to the tooth.

Tooth decay is the most common cause of a toothache, although a toothache may not be present in the early stages of decay. Other reasons for a toothache might include; An infection of the tooth, an impacted tooth or problems with the nerves in the centre of tooth.

Gum bleeding can be due to gingivitis or in some cases due to periodontitis.

Emergency Care - Broken Tooth or Jaw

Any trauma to the mouth that may dislodge or fracture teeth, requires immediate emergency care.  Cracked tooth is usually the result of an accident or biting on a piece of food that’s too hard. It is important to take swift action as it can save the tooth, so be sure to get on your emergency dentist appointment soon. Besides, it could prove very important in preventing the loss of the tooth altogether.

Broken Jaw – If you feel that your teeth do not fit together correctly and you not able to open your jaw all the way, it is best to consult the dentist immediately.

Lost Dental Filling or Crown

Sometimes fillings and crowns loosen and fall out. Because of that, the open tooth tissue can cause discomfort and is often sensitive to pressure. If your filling falls of or disintegrates, contact us and get it re-filled.

At times decay can cause the tooth to change shape and as a result, the crown loosens and falls off. If you feel crown is getting loose, make an appointment to see Dr. Manju as soon as you can. Don’t wait too long because the tooth will be weak and needs a crown to protect it.

In some cases, especially children who have a habit of chewing pencils, pencil stubs, plastic, and other material have experienced foreign objects get caught between teeth. Contact us if the object is stuck between the teeth and will not budge. Don’t use any instruments to remove them yourself as it may cause additional damage.
